Hello Fellow Dougherty Lake Homeowners!
It’s time for us Trustees to hold a Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting on April 8th, starting at 7:00 p.m. and invite any and all who want to attend to let us know. This will be using the Zoom program site so we really need to know in advance (meaning by April 5th) how many want to take part so we can decide the most experienced moderator for the expected audience. {NOTE: We held an introductory BOT meeting via Zoom on Feb. 3rd to discuss the transition period requirements for each Trustee and set goals and timetables to try and complete a full transition of material from our predecessors.}
What are we going to do at this BOT meeting? The AGENDA is attached. Essentially we will be discussing the transition period we have gone through, findings therefrom and our resultant plan forward for our roles as your elected Trustees. We are presuming the basic time frame for the BOT reports will take around 35-45 minutes, followed by comments/questions from other homeowners. All told we hope we can get through in no more than an hour.
One administrative item that is critical to the BOT is knowing what you think about our subdivision and what we are doing and its status. To get your input any and every day there is the Dougherty Lake web page (www.doughertylake.org) for timely updates and a link for you to send us information, questions, etc. We also have a Facebook account (Dougerty Lake Subdivision – Private Group) where information, comments, questions and discussion may be found.
In our opinion and based on the Restrictive Agreement (RA), it is vital to our subdivision for the Board to be in the most informed and records-accurate position possible, inclusive of approaches for governance, projects and expenditure of HOA funds to serve our subdivision population openly, constructively, and respectfully. Our primary job is to maintain the common ground, so all our property values continue to grow and help homeowners with their requests. Because of circumstances previously considered and those inherited, we have a lot of cleanup to do regarding the indentures (RA), governance and expenses. We trustees are to never make decisions by ourselves beyond the normal as identified in our RA.
In all instances, input from across the 187 homeowners, as well as volunteering from same, will enhance every homeowner’s feeling of community and enable our entire subdivision to openly act in behalf of each other’s best interest.
So, again, if you want to “attend” the April 8th BOT meeting, let us know by email to carel.reynolds@sbcglobal.net or call Carel at 314.821.1818 and you will be sent the necessary details by email to join the Zoom meeting.
Sincerely, Your Trustees
